Goodbye, June!

I cant believe we are almost done with the month of June. My last post was over 2 weeks ago and I said how summer makes time fly. We spent the last two weekends at the cottage and had a great time. We keep busy during the week, too. So much, in fact, that I was just telling Tom we have to start being productive at night rather than just playing! We have a big boy room to finish, a nursery to start, pictures to hang, car shopping to do, etc.

Here's a little picture catch up of the past 2 weeks.

Gavin is a climber. He loves to climb and sit on the kitchen table.

 Lincoln Park Zoo fun

Watching the Aquanut show at the cottage. Love those curls!

Fathers Day at the beach

 25 weeks!

Dada's Day!

Taking a break at the splash pad

Weekend at the cottage with cousins

26 weeks! Trying to even out my tan..

I had my first growth ultrasound this past Monday. Both babies are now breech, which would explain why its so hard to breathe! There are two big noggins pushing up on my lungs. The boys were given an A+ report. Baby A was 2 lb 3 oz and baby B 2 lb 2 oz. They are in the average range for if they were a singleton! I go back in 4 weeks for another growth scan.

Overall, I feel good. My bach aches and sometimes I just cant get a full breath. Ive done a good job keeping up with the boys. Sometimes, I just need to sit down and am thankful to have a husband like Tom who will take over. Sleep has been pretty good! Most nights I dont even get up to pee. Im still up less than 20 lbs, but I feel enormous. Im a little sensitive about it. I usually love my pregnant belly and feel beautiful. I still do..I think Im just terrified at how big I will be as the weeks continue on. I am so grateful to have a body that is capable of growing big, healthy boys. I remind myself of that often.

Its storming here, again!, and I need to get some housework done while the kiddos play. Happy Wednesday!

Cupcake Tuesday-24 Weeks

How far along? 24 weeks 3 days
Total weight gain/loss: Up 14ish lbs.
Maternity clothes? My wardrobe has become dresses for going out and shorts/tank for home.
Sleep: Pretty good!
Best moment of this week:  Viability!
Movement: Yes. Tons and tons and tons!
Food cravings: Ice!
Gender: Two little men-who are still nameless
Labor Signs: No, thankfully!
Belly Button in or out? Its almost out!
What I miss: Being able to breathe!
What I am looking forward to: my next ultrasound! NAMING them!
Milestones: Viability, 6 months pregnant, less than 100 days!

Ahh, so much to update on. Weve kept ourselves busy and finally have had some decent weather. When that happens, were outside for the entire morning and then I get stuff done inside while the boys nap. Its glorious for all parties. :)

Lets see.. the weekend was spent celebrating graduates. We attended Toms sisters party on Saturday and Sunday evening we went to dinner for my nephews graduation and then back to my parents for cake. It was nice to spend time with family. Saturday, I hit 24 weeks/6 months pregnant! Additionally, since I wont go past 38 weeks..we reached the point of pregnancy where there are less than 100 days until we meet them. I am getting really excited..its becoming real. I have one friend who just had a baby boy and another who has one coming any day. I sorted through clothes a bit to see what we needed more of and I just cant wait to kiss their sweet faces and introduce them to their brothers!

I had my 24 week appointment on Monday. It was supposed to be Tuesday, but I was feeling a bit off and am pretty sure I had/have a UTI. I actually had a little spotting Friday night, which totally scared me. It didnt come back, so they told me just to come in first thing Monday. They gave me meds for a UTI, even though results wont be back until tomorrow. She checked my cervix and it was totally closed. My belly is measuring 29 weeks and babies were sounding good.

Im feeling big. I get out of breath very easily, already. I am totally scared of how big I will be by the end of this! The timing with the hot summer is a little crazy. Ill have to be inside or by water for the entire month of August, I do believe. :) Tom came home the other day and said they set his graduation ceremony for August 27th. I was happy to finally have a date and then realized how close it'll be to my due date! He will get his badge end of July and work for a few weeks before the graduation. I hope Ill be able to be there. I would be pretty devastated to miss it. I'm not going to stress about it. In all likelihood, Ill still be cooking at 37 weeks and need to set up an induction. Thats how my body has done things in the past.

I have a growth ultrasound June 24th and go every 4 weeks for those. I have my gestational diabetes/28 week appt beginning of July. I think I start seeing my OB every 2 weeks starting at 30. And once I hit 32, Ill go in for NSTs at the specialist. Its all happening so fast. And we all know how time flies in the summer. Were already 1/3 of the way through June!

I said it before, I will keep saying it..SO thankful to be here.

Cupcake Monday-23 Weeks

How far along? 23 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: Up 12ish lbs.
Maternity clothes? Indeed
Sleep: Better!
Best moment of this week:  Got to see movement on the outside!
Movement: They are crazy active. There is always someone moving. I can feel distinct feet and its so fun!
Food cravings: Ice cream, sweets
Gender: Two little men
Labor Signs: No, I feel more pressure and pains though.
Belly Button in or out? Its flattening
What I miss: Being able to breathe!
What I am looking forward to: A fun summer with my family of 4, prepping for the babes
Milestones: Just shy of viability..I am so ready to be there!

I made a new name list..hopefully we move forward soon! I'm dying to give them definite names! I am at a loss of what to do for the nursery. I know I want lighter furniture, since the boys room as dark wood, tan walls. I want bright..simple..cozy. I am thinking gray with an accent color. I'm hoping to have the big boy room done by the end of the month and then I can worry about the baby room. I know there is no huge rush, since they'll be in our room for a while.

I cant believe were almost at the 6 month mark. Time has gone so quickly and I know it will go even faster now that summer is here. I hope I can make it to the end of August!!
