18 Months(on the 11th)

Today you are 18 months old. A year and a half. I can't hardly believe it.

You are incredible. You have this amazing personality that fills every room you enter. You get cuter every day and I cant believe Daddy and I can make something so perfect.

You are so smart. You understand everything and follow directions. You are saying new words every day and repeat everything you hear. You say please and thank you without being asked. You love calling everyone by their name, now that you know them. You speak in short sentences. My current favorite words are yellow, flower and outside. I recently taught you to sign milk. You can say it, but its too cute when you sign the word. You know most animals names and noises and your favorite is still a kitty cat. You have started to learn to say sorry when you're naughty. I have a feeling I will be hearing a lot of that for the next few years.

You wake up happy and are a joy through the day. You know our routine and you like to stick with it. You are still a good sleeper and take 1-2 naps, depending on what time you woke up. You sleep with your pacifier, a pillow and blanket. You are starting to really like your bear lovie, but you are not specifically attached to anything right now.

You are friendly. You wave to people everywhere we go and say Hi. You have a new obsession with babies. You love to get close and say Hi, baby over and over again. You love to people watch.

You have an infectious laugh that makes my heart swell. Your mouth opens so wide and you can barely breathe. Its when I get the best look at your teeth. :) You have 4 top teeth, 4 bottom teeth, 3 full molars and your eye teeth and 4th molar are breaking through now. Talk about drool!

You are a lefty! Just like Mama. You always color with your left hand and eat with it, too.

You love to be outside and its finally nice enough to go out! You love wagon rides, bubbles and just running around. You are a daredevil at the park, so I have to be sure we go to ones geared toward young children!

You know what you want and aren't afraid to ask. The other day, I was tickling your knee and your requested more and pointed to the other one. If Daddy asks you for a kiss, you'll usually give him one and then tell him he needs to kiss Mama. We love to do family kisses where the 3 of us all give a big smooch.

You really love books. And you have plenty! We read a story or two before bed. Your favorite ones are the musical books.

You love to watch Baby Einstein movies, Cars, Toy Story, Little Einsteins, Finding Nemo, etc. You are on a big fish(shishy) kick right now. You love the fish we bought a few weeks ago. He is still swimming in your bathroom. Your other fave is still a monkey. I can hear you say ooh-ooh-ahh-ahh all day.

You love the water. Bathtime, swim class, waterparks. We took you to an indoor park and you went wild. You were going down huge slides made for 5 year olds, dunking your head in the water, climbing up the treehouse. Then you fell asleep on my chest for an hour.

You are the perfect mix of sweet and tough. You rarely cry when you get hurt. You have even been sticking out your lip and breathing heavy and stopping yourself from crying!

You recognize police officers now and call them Dah-dee. Melts my heart every time. You climb in your police crazy coupe car and say whee-woo, whee-woo. Daddy would like for you to follow in his footsteps, but you know you can be anything you want. Last week, I asked you where Daddy was and you said, "Daddy at work." You were right, my love.

You've started to throw little tantrums and say NO when you don't want something. Daddy taught you to say Mine a few weeks back, that was not a good idea. You are strong willed, as both me and Daddy are.

Im pretty sure you have a sweet tooth. You love lollipops, M & M's, fruit snacks, etc. You eat a ton of fruit but were majorly lacking in the veggie department.

You drink a bottle when you wake up, get juice with breakfast and milk in a sippy the rest of the day. You drink a ton of milk at night, which makes me so happy.

Tantrums have officially begun. Sometimes, when you dont like what we tell you, you throw yourself on the floor and whine. It hasnt been too bad so far. We try to direct you to something else and make you smile again.

You love choo-choos! There are train tracks across from where I work, so you get to watch them all day. If you hear a loud truck outside, you think its a train.

Just the past few days, I added a little rocking/singing into your nighttime routine. Mamas needed extra love recently and I adore the 5 minutes of snuggles. You like when I sing to you and ask for more after each song. Thanks for the compliment.

I will never be able to explain to you what you do for me and Daddy. You brighten our darkest days. You give us hope. You fill our arms and our hearts. You made us fall in a much deeper love. You are our son, our miracle, our future. We love you, TMR!!
