Pictures and Pains

I am super tired but wanted to post these pics before I climb in bed for some cuddling and CSI. I started having this pain in my lower right side last night, during the night. It continued all day. I dont know if shes laying on something funny or what, but it hurts! She was really active today, as usual, so I dont know how that could be. Any suggestions of what it could be, ladies? The pain is sharp and located..if I were to hold my round belly(like in the picture below), itd be right under my right hand, if that makes sense.

This is following a 2 hour nap, which is why I look tired

Look at that belly button..

Laney being silly, but you can see my belly here

Ready for the wedding. I LOVE blue and brown together, they
were our wedding colors.

Guinness loves trips to the cottage..

I remember that pain...I don't know it if was the way she was laying or what but I had it often and everything was okay. I didn't have to make a special trip to the doctor either. Praying you get some rest and feel better tomorrow!

Love the pics....I love the glow :)

I had/have that same pain (in the same exact spot) and the next day it was on the left side....I called the perientologist and they said it was round ligament pain. I was surprised because I thought RLP was short instances of pain, but this was an all day thing...still..she said RLP.

P.S~ You look great!

You look gorgeous, as usual! :) I've been loving your blog. I am 11 weeks along in my first pregnancy and it took us almost a year to get here. It happened on its own, and I feel very blessed for that, but when I was struggling I found such comfort in your words. My sweet friend is struggling with infertility and undergoes her first round of IVF very soon - retrieval on Wednesday. I have directed her to your blog and she reads religiously, though I don't think she comments. I know it gives her a lot of hope. Just wanted you to know how much your blog has touched so many people!

VERY cute dress!!!

Can't say that I know what the pain would be, but I hope it has gone away for you!

I haven't read the other responses, but I'm guessing it's round ligament pain (totally normal, but can hurt pretty bad)! You look great and I too, love brown and blue together!

Yes those colors look great together and that dress is super cute! You still have the glow!

Sounds like round ligament pain to me too. I've been having it off an on for the last 6 weeks or so. My OB said it can be a sharp, stabbing pain (like when you move suddenly or cough) or it can be a dull ache. It's usually located around the "perimeter" of your belly (above pelvic bone and along your hip bones).
You're lookin' good!

You look beautiful. So exciting...24 weeks! Time flies. I'm ready to be 24 weeks! :) Take care and hope the pain goes away.

I agree with the other comments--it is the ligaments in your pelvis loosening to make room for her to drop. Well really to make room for her for the rest of the pregnancy. It could move to the other side. Expect the pain to come and go for anywhere from 1-2 weeks. Lots of water will help (but I'm sure you're doing that anyway!). If you haven't read it already, grab the Girlfriend's Guide to Child Birth from the library. It'll tell you all of the nasty stuff no one (including the doctor) tells you!

I used to get that pain and they told me it was ligament pain. I looked it up and read what it was and it made sense. Check it out.

Erin,

I am sorry about the pains your having. I hope they go away soon! Rest up! I have been following your blog for a while now. I am so happy for you and your hubby on your baby girl. I am 19 weeks and we just found out yesterday we are expecting our second little boy.

Question... where did you get that adorable purple shirt in the belly pictures? I love it! Also you have the cutest pregnancy belly! Wish mine looked like that!

I had that pain too and was told by my midwife, that it is just muscles/ligaments stretching and making room for baby.

Belly pics look great and you look like such a yummy mummy already! I wish I looked half as glam when I was pregnant!

I just had the same symptom Sunday Morning. It hurt so bad I cried on my moms couch and my mom, dad, and hubby hung over me asking if I needed to walk, if I needed to take a warm shower, if I needed to call the doc. Then I did the first two and it slowly subsided. I think mine was a pulled muscle. I had picked up my 1-1/2 year old neice the day before and even though it seemed like nothing I think thats what did it. If it doesn't stop I would call the doc but otherwise the aches and pains seem to be normal these days. But still so scary because who knows what it is?

Oops forgot to tell you that you look absolutely adorable.

I sent you an access form for my blog. Thanks for the email Erin!

I'm gonna agree and say ligament pain. Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot you can do about it. Hope you start feeling better soon!

You are SO cute. Sounds like round ligament pain. I had it too, I think it is from all the stretching. It will go away soon.
