16 Weeks and a Plan

How far along? 16 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: My scales says down 2 lbs. I dont understand how its possible. We will see the doc's scale soon enough
Maternity clothes? Wore a lot more this week. Went as far as mat. capris with a mat. tank
Stretch marks? No thank you
Sleep: Not good this week
Best moment this week: Thinking the babe popped
Movement: Yep, I feel it about once a day
Food cravings: Nothing special
Gender: I think pink
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? Innie
What I miss: Hot dogs
What I am looking forward to: OB appt. Tuesday
Weekly Wisdom: The longer the waiting, the sweeter it is
Milestones: Baby can hear me now

*I am adding my own extra one*

Realization of the week: I have to give birth!

It looks like once baby comes, I will continue working as a nanny. I love my job more than I can express. In a dream world, I would stay home with our little lovebug. That, however, is not going to happen for a few years. So, come November, I will be a stay-at-home Mom, who stays at someone elses house, and watches 3 additional children and gets paid for it. I'm crazy, right? More details to come..

Time is flying by!! I can't wait to know if it's pink or blue. That sounds like a perfect job scenario!! At least you get to stay with your baby. I have to watch 15 kids a day and my baby won't be able to be there:(

randomly read your blog and have a random question.. how did you find a job as a nanny?
that is my dream job, but i don't know how to approach it. do you just find someone you know that needs a nanny or put ads in the paper or what?

I'm so happy for you. You're not crazy at all. I think it's great that you've found a way to stay with your baby all day AND make money too. :-)

Oh and a book I LOVED for preparing for birth is The Birth Book by Dr. Sears. It runs through all kinds of options and scenarios from completely natural to emergency c-section. It also guides you through writing a birth plan. I would send you my copy, but I just gave it away to someone else. :-)

Your going to be one tired mama taking care of four children. Will you get any type of maternity leave before you dive in with four? Only reason I ask is (you prob. already know this so please don't take it as anything other than friend advice) a newborn is a big adjustment and exhausting in itself. Just make sure if you can to have some alone time to learn your baby before taking on four so that at the end of the day yours not pulling your hair out. You can do anything you set your mind too. I just know I had my three at home and then watched my friends 3yr old and 14 month old. When it was all over I was exhausted and couldn't imagine doing that day in and day out. Can't wait to hear the details and I am soooo over the moon for you and Tom! -Kriss

your pregnancy seems to be flying by for me! and, i've started to realize i have to give birth too. yikes! i think it's neat that we may find out the sexes of our babies on the same day. i'm hoping it won't be too early for mine!

I think pink, pink, pink! Giving birth will be so worth it, I promise, or I wouldn't have done it three times! ;)

LOVE your plan! In an ideal world I'd stay home too, but if not nannying would be great as well! That was always my plan when I was younger. However, looks like I'll have to go back to teaching for awhile! :) Things will work themselves out, right?
